Birthday Gift Ideas for Your Boyfriend

!±8± Birthday Gift Ideas for Your Boyfriend

Whether you and your boyfriend have been dating for three months or three years, he deserves to have a wonderful present from you whenever he celebrates his birthday.

Well-thought out gifts are always a great way to show your affection and love for your boyfriend. Some men may not be as open emotionally as women, but your boyfriend surely could not resist giving you a kiss or a hug in exchange of all the time and effort that you put into finding the perfect birthday present for him.

Here are some great and romantic gift ideas to give the most special man in your life on his birthday:

1. Something romantic.

A birthday present does not always have to be something expensive. Be creative in thinking of a romantic birthday gift for your boyfriend. If he has always given you flowers before, why don't you return the favor by giving him a dozen red roses? It will make him remember you as the only girl who ever gave him roses for his birthday.

A little effort would go a long way, too. Cook him his favorite dish and invite him over for a romantic picnic or dinner. Bake him a birthday cake, invite his friends over and surprise him with a birthday party.

Shower him with love notes, or make his entire day special by giving him a different gift in the morning, noon and at night. Be creative in thinking of something fun, romantic and special to give him a birthday that he is not likely to forget.

2. Something that he wants.

If your special someone is into gadgets, give him that game gadget or music player that he is always talking about. If he is a car enthusiast, get him a great car accessory. Or, rent a sports vehicle or his dream car for him to drive on his birthday. Go out and spend a day indulging in the sport that he just loves.

3. Something naughty.

Glow-in-the-dark boxer shorts are a sure-fire way to tickle his fancy. An intimate yet funny gift will remind him of the intimate moments that you shared together as a couple.

4. Something nice and traditional.

A gift basket with all the things that he likes on one delightful package also makes for a great birthday present for your boyfriend's birthday. A basket full of chocolates or wine is a wonderful birthday present.

If he is an executive, get him an expensive tie, cute cuff links or a nice wristwatch. Give him a set of his favorite cologne, perfume and aftershave. If he loves sailing, get him an antique compass that he can use.

5. Something that says "I love you."

You can literally give him an item with the message of how you feel. Give him a keychain for his car and house keys with an engraved message. Even small items like this would make your boyfriend feel special.

Remember that it is not always the cost that counts when giving out presents for your boyfriend on his birthday.

A well-thought out gift that would remind your boyfriend of how special he is to you will send out the right message on his birthday.

Building a Wrestling Ring

!±8± Building a Wrestling Ring

Wresting is a very exciting and popular sport that can be enjoyed even in the backyard if a proper ring is available. Building a wrestling ring is really not a very difficult work. If necessary materials and tools are present, then the task can be completed just within a matter of few hours. Following is a step by step guideline for building an excellent wrestling ring.

First, a suitable location has to be selected for the ring. Then, all the grass, dirt, weeds, sharp objects and unnecessary objects have to be removed. The area should be properly leveled. The next thing is to take the measurements of the dimensions of the cleared area. Simply, the size of the eventual ring has to be measured, the size depends on the available amount of space.

Thick foam of 2 inches is to be taken and cut according to the dimensions of the ring. If it is not available then two or more thinner sheets can be stuck together. The thickness should not be less than 2 inches at any cost.

After that, the foam has to be covered from all sides with waterproof material. There should be no gaps in the edges of the covering otherwise the rain water can penetrate inside and damage the foam. If it is possible, sewing machine can be used for sealing the edges.

Now, a piece of plywood has to be taken and has to be cut it in such a manner that it is equal to the foam in dimensions. The plywood has to be laid on the cleared ground, it will form the base of the ring. Now, the foam has to be placed over the plywood and the two can be pasted together.

The four corners of the plywood have to be marked on the ground. A hole that is at least 1 foot deep has to be dug in each marked region. The corner post has to be placed in each hole. Some cement has to be poured in the hole and the remaining space can be filled up with dirt. The posts should be given at least 24 to 48 hours for allowing the cement to dry.

Each post has to be covered with foam. It can be either glue or elastic bands. After this, a hook has to be placed on the outer corner of the post. The height of the hook has to be measured to ensure that the height of the other hooks on the remaining three posts is also same.

The ropes forming the outer boundary of the ring have to be attached to these hooks. The number of hooks on the posts depends on the number of ropes. There are usually 3 to 5 ropes attached. When the ropes have been tied, the wresting ring is now ready to use.

How to Make Simple and Creative Children's Halloween Costumes

!±8± How to Make Simple and Creative Children's Halloween Costumes

It seems almost sinful to pay the prices that are asked for kid's Halloween costumes. Unless your child wants to be Spiderman or the Hulk complete with muscles, it's much more worthwhile to put your own costumes together with some basic kid's apparel and craft supplies. Here are a few great ideas that you can quickly whip up that are sure to be a hit with the younger crowd.

Cheery Chicken

Transform your child into a cheery chicken complete with "feathers." Here's what you need:

1 white or cream colored sweat suit with hood

1 white feather boa

Matching thread

Orange or yellow colored stretch gloves

Orange or yellow colored rubber boots

Sew a length of boa feathers to each sleeve. Tack a small tuft of feathers to the hood point. Dress up in the costume, with the gloves and boots to complete the outfit.

Darling Ducky

You can turn this costume into a cute duck instead. Instead of white clothing, use a bright yellow sweat suit and a bright yellow boa for the feathers.

Lego Block

Here's a totally unique and fun idea that children can relate to - Lego blocks!

1 cardboard box to fit child (don't make this too big or they won't be able to maneuver around)

Small can of paint in one of the Lego colors

8 small matching plastic bowls

Paint the box on all sides. Cut out the arm holes and a larger hole for the head. Glue or secure 4 bowls on the front so that bottom of the bowls face out and the open rim is glued to the box. On the back, reverse this so the bottom of the bowl is secured to the box and the open bowl faces out. Have your child dressed in a sweat suit that closely matches the color of your homemade Lego piece.

Radical Robot

The Lego block design can easily be changed into a robot. Just cover the box with tin foil and glue on old knobs, nuts and bolts, some plastic mesh, etc. Cover a large plastic funnel with foil paper for a hat and dress your child in all black or all grey clothing.

As you can see, it's not only more cost effective to make your own costumes for your children (after all, you can use the outfits for regular use after Halloween), but it's also not difficult at all. With a bit of imagination and some household items, you've got a plenty of ways to be creative with your children's Halloween costumes this year.

More importantly, you'll be building a lifetime of memories as you and your son and/or daughter work together to design a costume that is as unique and wonderful as your precious child.
